It all started with Dear Zoo.

Or more precisely, four copies of Dear Zoo. When our founder Emma's first son was born, four people gave him the same book. When she tried to give the spares to other new parents, they all had it too.

Dear Zoo is a very good book. But with so many brilliant children's books out there, it seemed a shame that everyone was giving the same one.

A few months later, Emma wanted to thank a friend who'd been there for her in the early weeks. She spent ages finding just the right book, only to learn, as she handed it over, that her friend had already read it.

There had to be a better way.

You choose the stack. They choose the story.

A voucher gives them freedom, but can lose some of the thought. A single book keeps it personal, but brings the guesswork. Chapter & Choice brings the two together.
